The configurable Gateway serial to Profibus DP enables communication between a Profibus DP network and a serial RS232 or RS485 interface. The gateway is configured and supports on the serial side Modbus RTU, ASCII protocol, binary protocols and generic data. It's easily configurable with the included PC software via RS232 interface. The internal data processing is done via 16-bit microprocessor. The setting of different transmission rates is possible basically, where lies a maximum transmission rate at 12 Mbps on the Profibus side. Installation is simple and reliable on DIN rail.
