These economical single axis (R.A.) DC motor drives are designed to compensate for the earth's rotation. Their rotation speed matches the earth's rotation rate for stars to appear stationary in telescope eyepieces. With the 9-volt alkaline battery (included) installed, it lasts up to 40 hours. Can be fitted to any of our telescopes supplied with the EQ2 equatorial mount. Provides multi-speed (1x/2x4x) motor tracking of the R.A. axis.
