The compactDVI switch in a robust metal housing is intended as a reliable switch between different DVI-devices. The choice of the input/output signal is done manually by pressing a button:1 x 2-function: You can 1 signal source, e.g., a receiver, on 1 of 2 possible outputs, for example, TV or projector, switch. There is no parallel output of both outputs is possible. The big advantage to a splitter is that TV and projector in handshake do not disturb. The changeover is done purely manually, not automatically.
