The Mist Heavy VND 6-9 filter is a key part of the expanded BaseCamp range from Polar Pro. It must be used in tandem with the Circular Polarizer to operate between the desired variable stop range. This variant is compatible with stage usage 2 or 3, with a key diffusion strength of ~½. It has the desired effect of reducing the amount of light that comes into the lens, allowing you to shoot in brighter conditions without over-exposing the shot. In regard to key specifications, it provides a stop reduction between 6 - 9, an optical density from 1.8 - 2.7, and a light transmission percentage of 1.563% - 0.195%. Essentially, this allows you to have full light control without having to change a filter. The filter tab further provides fingerprint-free installation, as well as making the action of transferring/switching filters that bit more secure.
