This is achieved with an intricate arrangement of 23 glass elements ordered into 17 lens groups, including the use of 7 Anomalous Partial Dispersion glass elements. Image quality is increased by its internal focusing and zooming. There are 7 moving groups, including two dedicated focusing elements that are driven by linear stepping motors and this provides smooth and fast focusing and zooming throughout the focal range. Additionally, the lens features a strong optical image stabilisation system that compensates for up to 3.5 stops of camera shake. Meeting Leica's incredible build quality, this lens is fully dust and water-proof as well as featuring Leica's AquaDura hydrophobic coating on the front & rear elements.
