The Celestron Wedge has been designed for use with the NexStar Evolution and SE 6/8 mounts. It enables single fork telescopes to become very portable and perfect for Astro-photography. Using this wedge allows the mount to track equatorially, which ultimately removes field rotation that would otherwise be seen if you were shooting a long enough exposure without the wedge. The wedge has been designed to be lightweight and portable so that you can take your Astro-photography is the most prime location possible.
